Latisse in Greensboro, NC

Many people experience thinning of the eyelashes for a number of reasons, whether due to the natural aging process, genetics or as a result of disease. Fortunately, a new FDA-approved treatment known as Latisse® is helping many individuals to grow full, beautiful eyelashes. Latisse® is now available at the Coley Cosmetic & Hand Surgery Center, serving residents of Greensboro, Burlington, and neighboring communities in North Carolina.

What is Latisse®?

Latisse® is the first FDA-approved treatment guaranteed to enhance the length and restore fullness and volume to sparse, short, thin or stubby eyelashes. If you have ever tried unsuccessfully to restore length or fullness in your eyelashes using expensive over-the-counter products or spa treatments, you will be pleased to experience the difference provided by a Latisse® treatment. Latisse® provides luscious, long-lasting results. Upon starting the Latisse® treatment, your eyelashes will begin to become noticeably thicker and darker in three to four weeks, with the full results visible at around three months, meaning you’ll never have to wear false eyelashes or try expensive lash-thickening products again.

Benefits of Latisse®

Latisse® is an effective treatment to help restore fullness and length to eyelashes offering many benefits, including the following:

  • Visible results in just a few weeks
  • Lashes begin to grow naturally thicker and longer
  • One simple application yields permanent results

How is Latisse® Administered?

Treatment begins with a personal consultation with Dr. Coley who will explain the benefits and possible side effects of the Latisse® treatment. If you are determined to be an eligible candidate for Latisse® you will receive a prescription and instructions on how to apply Latisse® once a day at home:

  1. Wash your face and dry it with a clean, fresh towel.
  2. Hold the Latisse® application brush in a horizontal position and apply one drop of Latisse® liquid to it.
  3. Apply Latisse® to the base of the lashes along your upper eyelid, starting from the inside of the upper eyelid, in the same manner as applying eyeliner.
  4. Dab away any excess product.

Although designed to be used easily at home, remember that Latisse® is a powerful prescription medication and should always be used specifically as directed. Do not use Latisse® on your lower eyelid or eyelashes, and do not allow Latisse® to get in your eyes. Latisse® only works when applied consistently on a daily basis over time. If you have any questions about applying Latisse® or if you have any concerns or problems with it, don’t hesitate to call our office, and we will be happy to assist you.

Note: Latisse® will successfully help you grow darker, fuller, thicker and longer eyelashes if you follow the prescribed regimen; however, once you discontinue daily application, the medicine will stop working.

When Will Results From the Application of Latisse® Be Noticed?

You will see visible results as early as two weeks after starting Latisse® treatment, however, your eyelashes will continue to darken and become fuller, thicker and longer for about 16 weeks or four months. After that, you can preserve those fabulous results by maintaining a daily Latisse® application regimen.

Am I a Good Candidate for Latisse®?

Latisse® is a safe and effective treatment but may not be right for everyone. Candidates must be in good health and not take any medications that might interact with Latisse® nor have any irritations in the eyes, allergies or skin infections in the area to be treated. Outside of these exceptions, almost any healthy adult may be a good candidate for Latisse®.
